On the 2nd (KST),exchange rate of American dollars and Korean won dropped more than 10 won.
On the same day, the exchange rate closed at 1220.3 won against one dollar, down 11.0 won from the previous day’s close.
This is the lowest closing price in about 10 months since April 7 last year (1,219.5 won).
The exchange rate started at 1220.0 won per dollar, down 11.3 won from the previous day, lowered its low to 1,216.4 won per dollar during the morning session, and closed near the opening price.
It is the first time in about 10 months that the exchange rate has fallen below the 1,220 won level per dollar during the day since April 7 last year.
