Costco Wegovy and Ozempic Discount: 50% Off for Members

Costco has partnered with Novo Nordisk to offer members the popular weight-loss injections Wegovy and Ozempic at member-only prices—cutting typical retail costs by half as part of the Costco Wegovy Ozempic discount.

According to Fox Business News on October 6, Costco members can purchase a four-week supply of Wegovy or Ozempic for $499, about 50% less than standard retail. The offer runs through the Costco Member Prescription Program (CMPP) and requires a valid prescription. Insurance does not apply, so customers must pay out-of-pocket. Members with Costco Executive Memberships or who use the Costco Citibank Visa Card can receive additional discounts.

Novo Nordisk, the Denmark-based pharmaceutical company that supplies nearly half of the world’s insulin, leads in diabetes and obesity treatments. Its GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonists Ozempic and Wegovy help control blood sugar and reduce appetite. The active ingredient, semaglutide, increases insulin secretion and slows gastric emptying to support weight management.

While Ozempic was originally approved for Type 2 diabetes, it became widely known for weight-loss effects. Wegovy received FDA approval in 2021 specifically for obesity treatment. Dave Moore, Executive Vice President of Novo Nordisk U.S. Operations, said, “Our collaboration with Costco makes it easier and more affordable for consumers to access FDA-approved medications they can trust. Our goal is to provide reliable treatment opportunities to those seeking help with weight management.”
