Buena Park Korean Town Car Burglaries Smash Windows in Daytime Thefts

Authorities are urging Korean Americans in Buena Park to be on alert after a series of daytime car burglaries in the city’s Korean American business district, which is home to markets, banks, restaurants, and other shops.

According to the Buena Park Police Department, the incidents occurred on July 25 and August 2 near Beach Boulevard and Malvern Avenue, where suspects smashed the windows of parked vehicles in shopping center parking lots, stole valuables, and fled the scene.

Police said the thefts took place between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. They advised residents not to leave valuables inside vehicles and to report any suspicious activity immediately.

Officers are seeking witnesses and have requested help from local Korean business owners to provide surveillance camera footage from the time of the incidents.
