BTS’s upcoming book “Beyond the Story” topped Korean bookstores’ best-selling chart before its official release on July 9.

The book shot straight to the top of the best-selling books chart on online stores of Yes24 and Aladin as soon as preorders began on June 15 and has been keeping the No. 1 spot since.

Kyobo Book Centre created a separate “BTS” section on its official website, offering purchasers exclusive photo cards and a gift set. The book sits at No. 12 on the best-selling books chart on Kyobo.

“Beyond the Story” was announced as part of the “2023 BTS Festa” that began last week to celebrate the 10th debut anniversary of the K-pop’s biggest boy band that fell on June 13.

The book will revolve around interviews with the seven members that took place over the last couple of years on their efforts to become the pop icon they are today.

The band’s agency BigHit Music on Wednesday revealed short lines from interviews of bandmates included in the book as teasers.

The book will also include 330 QR codes that link readers to videos and songs that will allow them to engage deeper into the content.

The book will be released on July 9 in 23 languages worldwide. July 9 is dubbed “ARMY Day” by fans because it is the date when the name of BTS’s official fan club, ARMY, was announced in 2013.
