Actor couple Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin became parents to a baby boy on Sunday, according to their agencies.

Son’s agency MSteam Entertainment said on Monday that “Son gave birth to a baby boy the day before” and that “both Son and the baby are healthy.”

Last month, the actor’s agency unveiled that the couple was expecting a baby boy after Son announced in June that she was pregnant through her Instagram.

Son is expected to stay at a postnatal care center in Gangnam, southern Seoul. Hyun Bin is currently overseas filming for the upcoming historical drama film “Harbin.”

Son and Hyun Bin revealed in January last year that they were dating and tied the knot in March. The pair starred as lovers in tvN’s hit television series “Crash Landing on You” (2019-20).

Son emerged as the “icon of first love” thanks to the romance films “Lover’s Concerto” (2002) and “The Classic” (2003). She received recognition for more diverse leading roles like in thriller film “The Truth Beneath” (2015) and the historical drama film “The Last Princess” (2016). On television, she has remained as the queen of melodramas and rom-coms, starring in JTBC’s “Something in the Rain” (2018) and “Crash Landing on You.”

Hyun Bin became a heartthrob after starring in the MBC television rom-com series “My Lovely Sam-soon” (2005) and SBS’s “Secret Garden” (2010-11). He then took on leading roles in the drama film “Late Autumn” (2010), the historical thriller film “The Fatal Encounter” (2014) and the period zombie film “Rampant” (2018).
