McDonald’s KPDH Event Rocks LA

Forget standard nuggets. The McDonald’s K-Pop collaboration officially turned Downtown LA into the ultimate fandom playground. Following the nationwide launch of the ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ menu, the Golden Arches hosted an exclusive fan experience on April 2 that proved one thing: when K-Pop and burgers collide, the energy is unmatched.

Over 500 fans swarmed the venue, proving that the intersection of K-Content and global branding is the new gold standard for “cool.”

The energy was electric from the jump, thanks to a high-octane opening set by Korean-American DJ Ben Kang. Fans didn’t just watch; they participated in fierce dance battles and sing-alongs that could be heard blocks away.

The highlight of the night? A live performance by K-Pop icon Kevin Woo, the voice behind the “Saja Boys” in the film. After a show-stopping set, Kevin stuck around for an intimate fan meeting, proving why his fandom remains so loyal. Adding to the star power, voice actress Shin Na-ri also made a surprise appearance to the delight of the sea of cosplayers.

Walking through the event felt like stepping directly into the movie. Fans traded their everyday wear for elaborate outfits to participate in a high-stakes cosplay contest. Between the photo card zones and exclusive merch booths, every corner was designed for the “Gram(IG).”

But the real MVP was the food. The “Huntrx Meal”—featuring the viral Ramen Shaker Fries—was the talk of the night. With seasoning that mimics a spicy Korean instant noodle kick and packaging adorned with sleek Hangul (Korean script), it was a sensory tribute to Seoul.

“As a K-Pop fan, seeing this at McDonald’s is a dream,” said one attendee. “The Hangul on the packaging makes the Ramen Shaker Fries feel like a collector’s item rather than just a meal.”

The menu also featured the “Saja Boys Breakfast Meal” and the “Duffy McFlurry,” each tailored to reflect the character personalities from the collaboration.

“We wanted to create a multi-sensory experience that combines K-Pop and Korean food culture,” a McDonald’s representative noted. Judging by the 500 screaming fans and the smell of ramen seasoning in the air, it’s safe to say they achieved exactly that.

Are you Team Huntrx or Team Saja Boys? Grab your ‘KPDH(KPop Demon Hunters)’ meal before they vanish from the menu!
