The Hope Scholarship Foundation, established by Bank of Hope, is accepting applications for its 2026 Hope Scholarship program.
The Hope Scholarship, launched in 2001, is one of the bank’s signature community programs aimed at supporting and developing the next generation of leaders within the community.
This year, the program will select 60 outstanding incoming college freshmen, awarding $2,500 to each recipient for a total of $150,000 in scholarships.
Kevin Kim, president and CEO of Bank of Hope, said the program reflects the bank’s commitment to growing alongside the communities it serves.
“As our tagline ‘Bankers, Experts, Neighbors’ reflects, we strive to fulfill our responsibility as a community-focused bank,” Kim said. “We are proud to have continued the Hope Scholarship program for more than 25 years and look forward to seeing many talented students with dreams and passion apply this year.”
In addition to the scholarship program, Bank of Hope supports community development through a variety of initiatives, including community reinvestment programs aimed at improving housing conditions, promoting economic growth, expanding community services, and enhancing financial literacy through employee volunteer programs.
The 2026 Hope Scholarship is open to high school seniors graduating in 2026 who plan to attend a two-year or four-year college in the United States. Recipients will be selected based on a combination of academic achievement, financial need, essays, recommendation letters, and residency.
The application deadline is May 1 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
