Jeon Jungkook, a member of the global K-pop group BTS, caused a stir online on February 26, 2026, after hosting a late-night livestream while drinking alcohol in which he used profanity and openly shared his thoughts.
The livestream began at approximately 3:42 AM KST and lasted about 1 hour and 28 minutes, during which Jungkook interacted with fans on the communication platform Weverse while drinking with friends and his older brother present beside him.
In the broadcast, Jungkook spoke candidly about his experiences and feelings. He admitted that he had smoked in the past and said he had worked hard to quit smoking, but expressed frustration at how topics like that are handled by his company.
Jungkook also appeared frustrated about the pressures of being a public figure and the restrictions placed by his company, saying he sometimes feels “stifled.” He declared, “I’m going to live my life my way,” and repeatedly showed how tired and burdened he felt, though he also insisted he still wants to do his best.
During the livestream, he used English profanity (“F*CK”), made a rude hand gesture toward a friend, and pushed back against fans who suggested he end the livestream by saying, “Why are you telling me to end it? Don’t tell me what to do.”

Afterwards, the video was quickly shared online and generated a wide range of reactions — some fans expressed concern and discomfort about the behavior, while others sympathized with his honesty and emotional exhaustion.
Later in the day, the livestream was deleted from the platform. Jungkook posted to fans that his group’s full-length album ARIRANG is coming soon and asked for continued support.
