The redesigned Hyundai 2026 Palisade has been selected as NACTOY’s “2026 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year (SUV),” according to Hyundai Motor America.

Hyundai Motor America said on January 14 that the North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) Awards chose the 2026 Palisade for the honor.
The 2026 Palisade is Hyundai’s flagship three-row SUV. The company said it improved overall size, performance, and driving efficiency while strengthening family-focused practicality and convenience.
Hyundai said the larger body and more upscale design helped expand the use of interior space. The model also offers various seating configurations and includes a wide range of advanced convenience and safety features.
The 2026 Palisade also features a next-generation hybrid powertrain designed to improve efficiency. Hyundai added its first-ever XRT PRO trim for customers who want off-road driving, expanding the lineup.
Jose Munoz, CEO of Hyundai, said the Palisade “includes beautiful design, advanced technology, outstanding safety, and real value for families.” He added that it was an honor for the vehicle to be recognized as the year’s top utility vehicle by North American automotive journalists.
