AMC Launches ‘Popcorn Pass,’ Offering Half-Price Large Popcorn Every Day

Popcorn will never run out now if you can afford $29.99.

AMC Theatres has introduced a new annual discount program calledthe “Popcorn Pass,” giving moviegoers the chance to enjoy a large popcorn at up to 50% off every day for an entire year.

The pass, priced at $29.99, is available as an add-on perk for all AMC Stubs members, regardless of membership tier. AMC announced on Dec. 1 that the Popcorn Pass can be redeemed at all AMC locations nationwide and will be on sale through the end of the month. The earlier customers purchase it, the longer they can take advantage of the yearlong discount.

According to AMC,

“With a one-time annual purchase, guests can enjoy a large AMC Perfectly Popcorn — including one free refill per day — at roughly half the usual price. A single purchase unlocks savings all year long.”

A large popcorn at AMC currently costs around $10, meaning that customers who visit the theater seven or eight times a year would effectively break even or save money with the pass. However, moviegoers must still purchase a movie ticket each time they visit in order to use the discount.
