FIFA has unveiled the TRIONDA, the Official Match Ball for the FIFA World Cup 26, created by adidas. The launch marks a major milestone ahead of the tournament, which will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States for the first time.

The name TRIONDA, meaning “three waves” in Spanish, reflects the unity of the three host nations. Its design features red, green, and blue colors representing each country, with a maple leaf for Canada, an eagle for Mexico, and a star for the United States. Gold details highlight the significance of the FIFA World Cup Trophy.
The ball introduces a new four-panel construction with deep seams designed to create in-flight stability. Embossed icons, visible only up close, improve grip in wet or humid conditions. The panels connect to form a central triangle symbolizing the hosts’ historic collaboration.
TRIONDA also incorporates connected ball technology. A 500Hz motion sensor inside tracks every movement and delivers precise real-time data to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, aiding decisions such as offside rulings.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, “The Official Match Ball for the FIFA World Cup 26 is here and it’s a beauty. adidas have created another iconic FIFA World Cup ball, with the design embodying the unity and passion of next year’s host nations Canada, Mexico, and the United States.”
The reveal follows other key announcements, including the unveiling of the official mascots, a pledge to donate USD 1 per ticket sold to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, and confirmation that more than 4.5 million fans from 216 countries and territories entered the Visa Presale Draw, the first of several ticket sales phases.
The 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup will continue its buildup with upcoming international match windows in October and November, leading to the Final Draw in Washington, DC, on December 5, 2025.
