Rick Caruso Donates $50K, Pledges Match for LA Catholic Immigrant Fund

Rick Caruso, former Los Angeles mayoral candidate, has donated $50,000 to support a new immigrant family assistance program led by the LA Catholic Archdiocese.

The program, launched on July 23, provides essential supplies such as food and medicine to families affected by immigration enforcement actions. According to Caruso’s office, his initial donation will help jumpstart the effort and encourage additional community support.

To promote the initiative, Caruso’s team launched a fundraising website (www.ourlafamilies.com) and is offering a donation match of up to an additional $50,000. The site allows individual donations ranging from $50 to $500.

“We believe immigrants work hard for their families and have made vital contributions to our economy,” said Caruso. “If people make small donations through the website, we’ll match them up to another $50,000.”

The donation is part of Caruso’s ongoing philanthropic work. Earlier this year, he supported wildfire recovery efforts in Los Angeles and has continued contributing to causes related to housing and education.
