In-N-Out CEO Clarifies Personal Move, Says Company Staying in California

Lynsi Snyder, CEO of In-N-Out Burger, is addressing public confusion over her recent comments about relocating to Tennessee, clarifying that the company is not leaving California or moving its corporate headquarters.

The misunderstanding followed Snyder’s appearance on the Relatable podcast, where remarks about California’s challenges in raising a family and running a business sparked viral headlines and speculation that In-N-Out was abandoning the state.

In a video posted to her Instagram account Monday night, Snyder said, “We’re not moving In-N-Out Burger’s corporate headquarters. We’re not leaving California or leaving our roots behind. Each one of our locations is here to stay.”

She emphasized that her decision to move is personal and unrelated to the company’s long-term plans. “Where I raise my family has nothing to do with my love and appreciation for our customers in California,” Snyder said. “I’m very proud of where In-N-Out started.”

Snyder also reaffirmed her support for In-N-Out employees, noting that the company’s growth in other states is partly driven by the desire to provide associates with more affordable living options. “It’s tough here in California,” she said. “But I love our associates and I want to offer them this.”
