Police found his SUV parked illegally on the 7000 block of South Alameda Street, equipped with red and blue LED lights, police radios, and a firearm magazine. A records check revealed an outstanding DUI warrant and a prior human smuggling arrest.

Inside the vehicle, officers recovered a loaded 9mm semi-automatic firearm, holsters, ammunition, three cellphones, multiple passports not in his name, and documents bearing Homeland Security Investigations and Customs and Border Protection letterheads.

Huntington Park Mayor Arturo Flores said the case raises public safety concerns about fake law enforcement equipment. Police Chief Cosme Lozano added the investigation is ongoing.
