H Mart, the largest Asian supermarket chain in the U.S., will host a limited-time popup store featuring the Gangneung Umjine Kkomak Muchim(Cockle Mix), a dish that gained massive popularity in Korea for its flavorful seasoning and chewy texture.

A Korean Street Food Favorite Hits U.S. Shelves
The Gangneung Umjine Kkomakjip originated from a street stall in Gangneung Dongbu Market in 2013, where cockle bibimbap quickly captured local appetites. Its signature marinade and firm texture made it a bestseller, with some stores experiencing early sellouts due to high demand.
