For those high school students who are exposed to Korean at home, but desire to learn more about the language, UCLA is offering Summer High School Languages Program.
The class will be led by Dr. Hannah Lim, a specialist in Korean history and culture who received her Ph.D. in modern Korean history from the UCLA Department of Asian Languages and Cultures. She is currently a Korea Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the USC Korean Studies Institute. Dr. Lim, who is a heritage Korean language learner herself, is hoping to help students develop their Korean speaking, listening, and literacy skills up to the level where they can be more confident about the language.
The class will start on July 5 and end on July 28, and it will be held on Mondays through Thursdays from 9AM to 2PM. The deadline to register is June 15. Cost is $200.
