K-pop artists are this year’s hitmakers, according to TikTok. Five K-pop artists have appeared on the platform’s The Hitmakers’ global top 10 list, which ranks the artists who received the most views on the platform this year.
TikTok released “Year on TikTok” on Wednesday, an annual year-end report that looks back on the songs, moments and creators that trended the most.
Blackpink sat at No. 3 on this year’s The Hitmaker’s global top 10 list, the highest-ranked K-pop act.
The other four K-pop artists to make the list are from HYBE: BTS took No. 4, followed by Enhypen at No. 6, Le Sserafim at No. 8 and NewJeans at No. 9.
Girl group Fifty Fifty‘s sped-up version of its song “Cupid — Twin version” ranked No. 2 on The Playlist U.S. chart, which compiles the most popular songs in the United States.
The song also sat at No. 1 on The Playlist worldwide chart, with more than 20 million creations.
