Forestella’s Ko Woo-rim will begin his mandatory military service on Nov. 20.
Ko made the announcement of his enlistment on the vocal quartet’s official fan page on Tuesday, saying, “I will begin my training on Nov. 20, and have been assigned to the military band,” and that “I will complete my responsibilities and return in good health.”
Ko appeared on the second season of JTBC’s audition program “Phantom Singer” (2016–2017) and won with three other members of Forestella. He married figure skater and Olympic medalist Yuna Kim last October after three years of dating.
Until November, Ko will perform in the “2023 Forestella Festival” concert as planned and meet with fans before enlisting. “2023 Forestella Festival” is a solo show held by the group every year for the past two years and will be held on Oct. 14 and 15 at the Seoul Olympic Park.
