David Yun, founder of real estate agency Eighty8, dies in car accident

David Yun, 46, founder of the prominent real estate agency Eighty8, tragically died in a car accident in Santa Monica on the afternoon of August 31. The incident was reported by PKB News on September 3.

Yun’s vehicle collided with another at an intersection. As of now, the exact circumstances leading up to the accident remain unknown.

Established in Santa Monica, Eighty8 is renowned for its specialty in luxury homes and condominiums. Throughout his illustrious career, Yun was frequently acknowledged for his contributions to the real estate industry. His accolades include repeated placements on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2023 List of LA’s Top 100 Residential Real Estate Agents and a feature on the Wall Street Journal’s Real Trends list.

The community will pay their respects at his funeral, scheduled for 1 p.m. on September 7 at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary.
