Angie Kang, who has served as Deputy Chief Counsel for Walt Disney subsidiary Hulu, has been promoted to global general counsel for Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+.
Kang has been with Hulu since 2011, after graduating from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2008 and practicing law as an associate at the law firm of Latham & Watkins. Prior to Hulu’s merger with Walt Disney in 2019, Kang led the business and legal affairs for Hulu with Fox, NBC, and others.
In 2021, Kang was recognized as one of the most influential lawyers by Variety magazine and one of the award finalists in the public company by the LA Times.
Kang is the daughter of U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Regional Administrator, Seokhee Kang, who served as the first elected mayor of the Korean-American community in Irvine.
