The Kimbo Scholarship Award, the most significant scholarship in the Korean American community in the United States, took place on August 4 at the Garden Suite Hotel in Los Angeles.

Organized by the Korea Daily and Happy Village, with generous sponsorship from the Kimbo Foundation, this year’s event celebrated and honored 215 exceptional scholars from various parts of the U.S., including 110 scholars from Los Angeles. A total of $430,000 in scholarships, amounting to $2,000 each, were awarded to these deserving recipients.

Notably, the Kimbo Scholarship Award also took strides in promoting racial harmony by selecting ten scholars from the black and Latino communities for their exceptional achievements.
