Rapper Song Min-ho from the all-male act WINNER will make a return to performing solo on Sept. 8.
YG Entertainment, which represents the 23-year-old artist, released a teaser image on Tuesday morning, which reads “MINO=20160908.”
Specific details on what kind of songs or what form of an album the rapper will release have not yet been disclosed.
Song proved himself to be a talented rapper on Mnet’s hip-hop survival audition program “Show Me the Money 4” (2015), where he showed the audience that he is more than just an idol star.
Although he was not crowned the final winner, Song performed numerous hit tracks on the show such as “Fear” and “Moneyflow.”
His boy group entered the music industry in 2014 and has been successful with popular songs like “Sentimental,” “Empty” and “Don’t Flirt.”
Amid Song’s solo comeback news, many are wondering when the rapper Bobby, a member of YG’s male act iKON that many describe as Song’s hip-hop rival, will drop a solo album. Bobby was the final winner of “Show Me the Money 3” (2014).
