‘Running Man’ Will Continue This Year Without Member Change

SBS ‘Running Man’ has been confirmed to continue airing with its original 6 members.

On 24th, SBS announced that “After hearing the voices of fans, SBS and the 6 ‘Running Man’ members have decided to continue the program with its current members”.

SBS continued and said, “We also repeatedly apologized to the members for the incidents that happened during the program reorganization process, and the members eventually agreed to continue ‘Running Man'”.

They also explained that Producer Nam Seung-yong, who first produced ‘Running Man’ in 2010, met each of the members and had genuine conversations with them to draw such decision. Producer Nam said, “I am truly thankful to ‘Running Man’ members for making such decision, which was not easy. Also, we promise to both Korean and international fans that we will do our best to make the program better in return for the 7 years of love they’ve given to us”.

Meanwhile, ‘Running Man’ was embroiled in controversy at the end of last year because of Kim Jong-gook and Song Ji-hyo’s dropping from the program. As there was an ongoing rumor that Kang Ho-dong was joining the program’s second season, Kim and Song did not get any notification about being dropped from the program.
