‘Running Man’ Officially Apologizes to Song Ji-Hyo and Kim Jong-Kook



The production team of Korean variety show, Running Man released an official apology about the recent controversies over Song Ji-hyo and Kim Jong-kook’s departure.

In the official statement released from the Running Man production crew, they apologize to Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo for hurt their feelings, as well as to the fans and other Running Man members.

Below is the full statement released on Wednesday, December 15.

Running Man production team has been working on the reorganization with a goal to launch the second season in late January, 2017.

In the course preparation, the news about cast change were released unexpectedly, even before we could wrap up the communication procedures. We sincerely apologize to both Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo, who have spent seven years with us like family.

Also, we Running Man production crew feel deeply regretful for disappointing our audiences who’ve been loving Running Man for such a long time.

We once more sincerely apologize to Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo for not being more thoughtful and to other Running Man members who must have been confused.”
