The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is hosting a seminar for parents who are interested in sending their children to the city’s newest magnet schools on Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Korea Daily lecture hall.
Presented by the Korea Daily Education Institute, the event will be led by LAUSD scholarship officer Ji-ae Byun, who will introduce the city’s newest magnet schools and how the families of the students can register to enroll.
Magnet schools are special programs launched by the LAUSD to provide specialized education on foreign languages, arts and other subjects.
In addition, the seminar will also provide further information on major schools across Koreatown.
