Singer Ailee will drop a new song at midnight on Tuesday, according to YMC Entertainment, which represents the 27-year-old, on Monday.
“Ailee will return to the music industry for the first time in 11 months with a song titled ‘If You’,” the agency said.
The upcoming track will be a ballad showcasing Ailee’s soulful voice. It will be available through major music streaming services.
Ailee’s new song will especially interest fans of singer Lim Na-young from the temporary female act I.O.I, who was selected last week to star in the music video for the track.
The singer stepped into the entertainment scene in 2012 by taking a minor role in the drama “Dream High 2” (2012). Since her debut, Ailee has generated numerous hits, including “Singing Got Better,” “I Will Show You” and “U&I.”
Ailee is also scheduled to appear as one of the judges for the upcoming music survival audition program “Superstar K 2016,” which is slated to hit the air Sept. 22. She will be joined by A-list musicians including soloist Gummy and Gill of hip-hop duo Leessang.
