After 14-month Break, Apink Returns on Top

Girl group Apink returned with chart-topping album “Pink Revolution” on Monday.

Their single “Only One” off their brand new record reached number one on seven major Korean music charts upon release, including Naver Music and Bugs.

The track is described as a blend of genres including ballad, dance, and R&B backed by a hip hop rhythm. It was produced by hitmakers Black Eyed Pilseung, who previously spawned songs such as TWICE’s “Cheer Up” and SISTAR’s “I Like That.”

The album marks their return after a 14 month break since their last studio effort “Pink Memory” in 2015.

“It’s been a while since we last promoted in Korea, so we were both worried and excited at the same time,” the members said in regards to their recent chart performance. “Thank you so much for the positive reception, and please keep cheering us on.”
